League night, week 2
I meant to post this earlier this week, but a dog's got other things on her mind this time of year. So, Dad went bowling again with Uncle Cris, Kaley, and Kevin on Wednesday night. Dad only then found out the name of the team: Three Strikes,You're In! Cute, huh? Uncle Cris was unhappy with the way he bowled, but Dad said he did better than last week. The big problem this week was how long it took for the bowling center to take care of problems. They were one of the last teams to finish this week, at least a half hour after everyone else. I hope when they find out their standings, Three Strikes, You're In! did well.

No! NO!
Dad was a little peeved. He tuned in with 4 minutes to go in the NCAA championship game between Cornell and Syracuse, and the Big Red up 9-6. He got to watch Syracuse score three goals, including one with at :04 to tie the game. Then he watched the game winner in sudden OT to give Syracuse the title. Dad would have felt better just reading the score the next day in the sports section.

League night? What's league night?

So, Dad was convinced by my uncle Cris to join his team in a parent-child bowling league. My cousin Kaley (she's human, by the way) mentioned this on the blog Cris and Kaley Adventures. I guess Dad did okay. He was not jumping for joy over how he did, but he didn't come home proclaiming he was the worst bowler who ever rented shoes.

What's this on your salad?
As previously mentioned, Dad has been a vegan for a couple of months now. One of the things he would suggest to anyone for a change of pace, vegan or not, is to have salsa on top of your salad as a dressing. He cannot claim that it was his idea; he got it from the book Eat to Live: The Revolutionary Formula for Fast and Sustained Weight Loss. Try it. You might like it.
Got to prep for an upcoming event
All righty. Dad finished Idoru the other night so he's moved on to his next book. He's now reading Don't Know Much About Anything: Everything You Need to Know but Never Learned About People, Places, Events, and More! to start prepping for an upcoming audition where he needs to be up on his trivia. I'm soliciting suggestions for other good trivia books.

Looks like it could be cat food....
So, Dad's been a vegan for a while. He likes eating lentil beans. Easy and quick to cook. I think it could be tasty cat food, if there were more meat in it. ^_^

Dad goes back to the last millennium
Dad's re-reading Idoru by William Gibson. He enjoyed it back in 2001, but this time he seems to be struggling through it. Not as much free time to read as he would like?
Something Dad thinks he needs to walk me
Hey, all. It's me, Zoe.
Whenever Dad takes me out for a walk, he tries to make sure he's wearing his pedometer. He sometimes really freaks out if he finds out he's not wearing it. He's trying to get in better shape, and one of the ways he's doing that is to get 10,000 steps in each day. He uses one of the Accusplit pedometers. I think he was sold on the endorsement as the official pedometer of the PGA. I don't know why that would mean so much. He's not a golf fan.
