Eli Manning started and looked fine. Dad had a lot of the Giants on his fantasy team, and they did all right. The important thing is the Giants won, going 5-0 for the first since 1990. The Giants won the Super Bowl that year. Dad's not one to believe in omens, but he still thinks it's a good thing.
The icing on today's cake is that the Bosox lost, 7-6. Jonathan Papelbon gives up 3 runs in the top of the ninth inning to blow the save. The Sawx lose in the ALDS to the Angels, 0-3.
The cake for the day, in addition to the Giants win, would be the Yankees finishing their series with the Twins. He's watching that game now, as I type.
