So, in the bottom of the 10th inning, Jorge Posada singled, and Brett Gardner was brought in as a pinch runner. Dad and Uncle Cris expected this. Gardner stole second. Then in an exciting play, when Nathan botched the pick-off to second, Gardner took third on a play that had Dad saying to himself, "No, no, no--yes!"
All that excitement went to naught, when Damon lined softly to Orlando Cabrera and Gardner was caught off third after breaking with the contact. Shoot.
